Hi all,
I am the Chair of the Lory Student Center Governing Board would like to welcome you to the Student Center this November! I am personally very excited to be hosting this year’s ACUI Region 13 Conference and can’t wait to share some of the unique thoughts, perspectives, and opinions throughout the region.
I attended last year’s conference at Arizona State and am hoping that this one will be just as exciting as last year’s. So far, we have included a variety of Ed Sessions, some entertaining social events, and the widely popular WE-LEAD among others.
Currently, the LSC is in the process of redesigning its Master Plan for the next 20 years. As such, we have more recently been redesigning the theatre for its upcoming renovation next summer. The ribbon cutting of this event will kick off our 50th Anniversary in 2012 and will surely be an exciting historical event within our community.
As a Student Center, we tend to be highly involved within the student and local communities. In October, we plan to enter a float into our Homecoming parade as well as participate in Cans Around the Oval, our campus-wide donative charity event.
No matter the event, the LSC is sure to be represented throughout campus. As a Student Center, we strive to create an inviting environment as well as serve the students of CSU to the best of our ability. We hope that you will find the LSC as inviting as our students do this November.
