ACUI Region 13

WE LEAD

We regret to announce that we will have to cancel this years WE-LEAD during the 2010 ACUI Region 13 conference. There were not enough students registered to meet the goals of the program. Any schools who registered students for the program will be reimbursed the $20.00 WE-LEAD fee.

Are you a student interested in participating in an exciting and interactive leadership experience? Then consider participating in WE-LEAD while at the Region 13 conference this year. WE-LEAD is an intensive leadership development track of the ACUI Region 13 Conference. The program is designed for undergraduate students to gain awareness about themselves, their community, and their peers. Students selected will participate with other students from institutions within Region 13.

WE-LEAD takes place throughout all three days of the conference, and does overlap with other conference educational sessions. WE-LEAD students will be free to attend all social events, meals and the keynote speaker. Selected students must commit to attend all sessions, which build upon each other in order to help develop individual and group leadership skills.

There is a fee of $20 per student participating in WE-LEAD. Each student must apply by Friday, October 15 to Douglas.Sweet@colorado.edu and have written approval from their advisor.

12:00 – 1:00 pm Lunch

1:15 – 2:15pm WE-LEAD students attend session of their choice during Educational Session 3

2:30 – 4:30 pm WE-LEAD Diversity Session with Conference Keynote

4:30 – 5:30 pm WE-LEAD Teambuilding and Communication Session

5:30 – 6:30pm Pat Moonen Reception

6:30 – 8:00pm Awards Ceremony

How do I sign-up?

Schools should nominate students from their delegation to participate. Please sign up during conference registration, and be sure to select the WE-LEAD link. After registering, nominees must fill out the application form below and return it via email no later than Friday, October 15th, 2010.

3. Email your application as an attachment to WE-LEAD Co-Coordinator with the title being your first initial, last name, WELEAD. For example “DSweetWELEAD”. Email your completed application to Doug Sweet (douglas.sweet@colorado.edu)

4. WE-LEAD Coordinators will contact you when your application has been reviewed.
